Continuing Our Support for Those Impacted by the Australian Bushfires
As communities across Australia continue to face the impact of its devastating bushfires, J.P. Morgan is committing US$500,000 to supporting relief efforts in the region.
The Australian Red Cross will receive US$300,000 to help fund immediate relief where it is needed. This follows the firm’s US$50,000 donation in November to support the Australian Red Cross’ bushfire relief efforts. Furthermore, J.P. Morgan is committing an additional US$200,000 to local organisations supporting sustainability and resiliency efforts that will help the nation rebuild, prepare and plan to mitigate the risk of future disasters.
“During times such as these, it is important that we come together to harness the resources of our business to help those who need it the most,” said Robert Bedwell, Senior Country Officer, Australia and New Zealand, in an email to employees.
