Our Support for Tornado Victims in the South and Midwest

A version of the following message was sent to all JPMorgan Chase employees from Jamie Dimon, Chairman & CEO, JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Over the weekend, we witnessed a series of devastating tornadoes in Kentucky, Illinois and other parts of the Southern and Midwestern United States. People and communities continue to struggle to meet their basic needs, and the death toll sadly continues to rise.

To support immediate and longer-term relief efforts, JPMorgan Chase is committing $250,000 to local nonprofit organizations that are providing critical services in those areas most heavily impacted. We know many of you are looking to contribute to the ongoing relief and recovery efforts. The firm has launched an employee matching campaign to maximize our collective impact.

The events unfolding across these regions make for a difficult and challenging time, and we continue to monitor the situation and stay in close contact with impacted employees. Just as you’ve done during other crises, I encourage all of you to demonstrate compassion and support for one another — even a simple check-in conversation can be hugely impactful.

Our thoughts are with our employees and their communities who have been impacted by this tragedy.
