Our support for Texas following severe winter weather 

The following note was shared with JPMC employees based in Texas in response to this year’s devastating winter storm.

Message from Elaine Agather, MLT South Region Chair­ ­

Dear colleagues,

Across Texas, we have all been affected by last week’s devastating storm – freezing temperatures have caused massive power outages and left millions without heat and water, and the impact will be felt for months. That’s why it’s so important to stand together to help each other and our communities.

We know it’s been tough for many of you and your loved ones. We have provided emergency assistance to many of our colleagues and will be scheduling virtual meetings to provide emotional support for those who need it. You can contact our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 24/7.

To support our communities, our firm committed a total of $250,000 for food relief through Central Texas, Houston, North Texas and San Antonio food banks as well as Feeding America.

To support our customers, we are automatically waiving some fees in the hardest hit areas. If you know customers facing financial hardship because of the storm, encourage them to call our Special Care line at 1-800-254-7713 for help with their Chase accounts.
