Stepping Up in the Wake of Puerto Rican Earthquakes

A series of earthquakes in Puerto Rico have caused devastation across many parts of the region over the last two weeks.

To help with relief and recovery efforts, JPMorgan Chase is committing a total of $100,000 to two organizations that are providing critical services to the people of Puerto Rico. The support will help International Medical Corps (IMC) provide mental health services and deliver urgently needed health, sanitation and hygiene supplies to local shelters. It will also help the Hispanic Federation provide emergency relief and long-term support to the affected communities.

“Time and again, I’ve seen our firm and employees step up in times of crisis,” Mel Martinez, Chairman of the Southeast U.S. and Latin America said in an email to employees. “Many communities in Puerto Rico have a long road to recovery and we are here to support them.”
