Our support for the Buffalo community

A version of the below note was shared with all employees based in the Upstate New York Market from The Upstate New York Market Leadership Team

JPMorgan Chase is committed to caring for our community by providing immediate assistance to the families that have been affected by the senseless violence that took place in Buffalo. Our firm is making a philanthropic contribution of $50,000, distributed amongst the following organizations to support the Buffalo community:

  • The National Compassion Fund, LLC, a subsidiary of the National Center for Victims of Crime, in support of the Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund. This fund will provide direct financial assistance to the survivors of the deceased and those directly affected by this tragedy.
  • The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo in support of the Buffalo Together Community Response Fund, a collaborative effort of local philanthropic organizations to take action and address immediate needs in the community, long-term community rebuilding, and systemic issues that have marginalized communities of color.
  • FeedMore Western New York, Inc., which is providing food distribution for community members affected by the Buffalo mass shooting.
