Supporting servicemembers and Afghan resettlement efforts

We have continued to closely monitor the tragic situation in Afghanistan, including the recent terrorist attacks in Kabul and resulting loss of lives of servicemembers, Afghans and civilian nationals from other countries, as well as the impact of evacuations across the globe. The violence, suffering and violation of human rights are devastating, and their implications affect us all.

JPMorgan Chase is making a $1 million philanthropic contribution to continue to support servicemembers and veterans, and to aid Afghans seeking better, safer lives. Specifically, we are supporting resettlement for Afghans through contributions to the International Rescue Committee (IRC). We are also supporting mental health care and other services for those in the military and veteran communities who have been touched by the conflict, including our colleagues and their families, through contributions to Blue Star Families, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America and UK-based Combat Stress. In addition, the firm’s legal team will be providing pro bono assistance with Afghan relocation and immigration issues.

Our military and veteran colleagues, their loved ones and the people of Afghanistan remain in our thoughts, especially as we approach the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
